Vintage Chinese Cookie Tin - Litho Printed Tin 1970s

  • 5000

SOLD
Vintage cookie / biscuit tin from China. I found this old container at a flea market in Shanghai and was drawn by it's strong pop litho printed graphics. These originally held an assortment of western style cookies and was sold to the domestic Chinese market. Made by the Jiashili cookie company that I found out was started back in the 1950s and continues on to this day.

Unique item makes a great visual statement in the kitchen or bookshelf.
With a 6" opening at the top, it is also perfect as an interesting upcycled container for plants and flowers.

Measures 7" x 7" x 9" tall.

Enamel screened tin has some scuffs, marks and scratches but nothing out of character for it's age and is in good shape overall. The color still pops. The top has a grayish/rusty patina which could possible be removed, but I honestly did not make much of an effort to remove it as I did not want to damage the tin. My estimated age on this is 1970s.
